Resurgence, Waseca Art Center, 2018

Coming especially welcomed in Minnesota where Spring Fever is at its worst in the weeks directly preceding the equinox, spring is most often defined as a season for rebirth and new life. It is this desire for the return of life—the demonstration of the power of natural cycles—that is presented in this work. Sourced from fewer than ten parent plants, the 333 spider plants (chlorophytum comosum) in attendance make clear their ability to proliferate—to both thrive and multiply.
